The Pragmatic Radical
Change is a choice away
“Setting the benchmark for artistic driven regenerative economies.”
Take for a moment and ponder this. What if work is natural, just like breathing? Then would not the only task be to master it?
Stories empower humanity, do they not? There are stories in prose, poetry, music, business, religion, science and politics. A story is to process as a plank is to measurement. The story of math is told though it’s order of operations.
The back drop of the present story is: “The Accelerating rate of change.” It’s something that everyone feels regardless of its quality, left behind, lucky, overwhelmed or pensive, etc…
If the rate of change is accelerating, then conversely there must be a time when it decelerates.
Tips, Tools and Tactics. Timeless, Practical and Step by Step.
Everything is relative.

You ever realize the best core use for a flying drone camera is navigation. If you were lost in a corn field, a forest, jungle, desert, at sea, or in the Arctic, you could benefit from seeing everything from high ground without the climb. On Atlanta, that’s exactly what Paper Boi needed to be able to see beyond the trees without climbing.

Notes on Today
Building a career as an artist is like building a business and although it’s easier than ever before to own the whole supply chain and get your product to market. Distinguishing yourself in a flood of information and taking timely advantage of that moment is something that requires strategy
We’re A music community seeking to help artist strategically align their careers to grow with high impact industries and movements tackling the pressing issues facing humanity
Challenge whats changeable. A good place to start when seeking a sense of direction.
Treatise on Value
Currency (medium of exchange) is something interesting, simply stated it quantifies the value of what you exchanged into to a common denominator and allows you to store it for later use. It’s actually a societal invention. The common denominator was traditionally something seen of value by a culture, seashells, jewels or precious metals. Over time it became symbols backed by gold, and more importantly power.
Why am I mentioning currency? Glint is an old way to look at Currency using new technology.
Algorithms, Intentions
It’s no secret that advertising and social media are successful due to the reverse engineered application of common psychological commonalities we all share. What may be less obvious to some though is the magnitude to which information that reaches you may be skewed, not to mention ones own bias and awareness of them. The existence of these psychological commonalities are apart of what it means to be human and for many, the only place to share themselves or access new information. The value of social media as a tool far outweigh its harm, the challenge is changing online habitats to reflect nature in their operation then presentation. This can be as simple as remembering that algorithms already measure everything you do. The more intent you place into every aspect of your digital experience, the more you get the algorithm to work in your favor.
This calls to question something else though, much of the underlying issues of technology can be linked to it’s direction of development, one that social media can be used to learn more about, only as an entry point though. For a more thorough understanding it’s necessary to decide for yourself and apply at your own discretion.
There is an interesting company called Rivrb, and the services it provides, allow you to get paid for your expertise, researching topics, asking questions, and you even get to add your activities to your resume, more in a later edition.
WAFFL Programs
When I got out the Navy I recall telling myself and others repeatedly that I would never work for another person, time proved me wrong, although now I realize it was the spirit of what I said. I know that any work I do is building what is meant for me in this life. Something that I should of embodied the spontaneous nature of while in the service.
IF any work that I do is building what is meant for me in life, then using work as a method to develop mindfulness becomes a path to accomplish more than you thought initially possible.
This is the threshold for a WAFFL program I’m developing to reward participants with professional certifications for inspiring completions of courses designed to engage participants at different levels of the environmental action, entertainment creation/consumption and career spectrum. Join the beta to help curate and get access to constructive extra curricular digital and physical activities for creative communities
Ending Notes
I moved to NYC near the end of 2021, Before returning Stanford suggested I take the Philosophy Works course at The School of Practical Philosophy, someone had referred him to it, he had a good experience so he told me. Likewise here. Until next time.
